RJ was born in Midland, Texas on October 26,1985. He went to high school in Athens, Texas and then went to the University of Central Arkansas. While at UCA, he was active with the UCA baseball team and worked at the campus radio and TV stations; KUCA and Channel 6 news. He did play-by-play for the Bears baseball team for 2 seasons as well as the UCA postgame show after every football and basketball game. He also did special interest packages for the “Clint Conque Show” which aired in Conway on Channel 6 and Channel 7 in Little Rock. He has worked at several different stations across the state of Arkansas doing play-by-play for different high schools, and currently is the color commentator for the Cabot Panthers. RJ joined The Buzz in the summer of 2007 as an intern, and worked part-time as a producer. While interning with The Buzz, RJ acquired the name “Lloyd” from Justin Acri. Acri thought the name suited RJ perfect because his intern situation resembled the office assistant named Lloyd from the TV show “Entourage.” In July 2008, RJ got hired full-time as a producer/promotions asst. He currently produces all the Saturday morning shows on The Buzz as well as “The Sunday Morning Buzz with Bill Vickery.” During the week you can find RJ slaving away for Lindy doing promotions throughout Little Rock. In his spare time (which isn’t much) RJ likes to go out to the River Market, play golf, and plays make frequent trips to Tunica, Mississippi.
